Started out with one....
Quickly to two....

Did not take to long for 3 to show up....

They are at this trough regularly. Time to start trapping soon after the first of the year.

Definitely no shortage of cats.
They look healthy too. Probably from keeping the quail population in balance. eek

Great pics. Most times I give Bobcats a pass when I see them. What is your view on how they affect the deer herd?

I was thinking the same thing... I have seen them while hunting but have never shot one.

I will give most of them a pass until they start to show up regularly around my deer blind. Deer hate the sight of a Bobcat on every place I have hunted. The deer will either run at first sight or start blowing/snorting/stomping after the cat and this will clear the area of deer. They do eat fawns but not as many as coyotes will take. The amount of Bobcats on a piece of hunting land will surprise most people when they start trapping/shooting them each year since very few are ever seen. They are not as rare as one might think. They are a predator so thinning down the numbers can't hurt.
