I had not seen this old buck in over a month now. No TC pics of him in the past month till he showed up this morning. He was in the feed pen when feeder went off a second time. I got a few quick pics when all the bucks spooked and ran. With they thick overcast clouds making it dark, most pics are blurry. Most of the bucks have really gotten broken up in the past month now. Glad I have gotten some rain to green things up and help them through rut and winter now.

Be hard to do that with the feeder NE of me and wind was from the NE. I reset that feeder the day before Thanksgiving to add an extra morning feeding at 7:45. He had not been around since then so my guess is it caught him by surprise.

No, this one was a 9pt last year and a 5x5 this year. He had a G3 on the left side he broke off in October. This is the 3rd year in a row he has showed up during the season. He has some age on him and is about the same age as that other buck you referenced. Notice how stained his hocks are. Both are blessed with narrow spreads and get to live and die in an AR county of old age. frown

I can't see anything in those photos that show he is old. How many years have you been seeing him?

I remember him now. He definitely has had plenty of staining.

I don't think I have ever posted a pic of this buck before today. I will have to check to see if I do have a photo of him from last year or year before.

Great pics. You were definitely ready for the shot, Stx. He looks like a flying reindeer.

Pretty sure I saw TC pics of it instead of 500mm shots.

Not that I can find on TC or 500mm. This morning was the first time I have seen him in a feed pen this year. I had seen him over a 10 day period in bow season close to a feed pen but never in it. The buck I was thinking of from 2 yrs ago had same shape as a 9 point but much longer brows. I saw that same buck last year but got no pics of him. I can't find anything that looks like him in my pics so far. Still looking through 1000's of them though.
