I got an excellent opportunity to shoot one of these great animals a while back. We hunted the first day in the rain and mud and found none that we could shoot. The next morning was about the same until after lunch. The sun came out as well as the Nilgai. We spotted a small group of bulls and stalked them until I had good cover for a shot. One shot from the 300 Ultra put him down in his tracks. He was still bellowing 30 minutes later, so a couple of shots from the pistola closed the deal. Good fun hunting these beasts.

That's a great hunt. Can't wait till my next. I too will go again if I like the way it tastes. I have had stuff made with it that was good, but I will wait until I can cook a steak off of it and judge off of that.
