I have been seeing glimpses of this guy on camera for months. He finally gave me a good pic. If I didn't have a red mounted already I would be going after this dude.

I've only seen one in all my years of hunting. It was in Menard back in the 80's. Fox get a pass from me as well, have a few Grey's here at the ranch.

He is safe at the ranch. We are HF and we keep the yotes off the place very well. Unless a big bobcat gets him he should be fine where he is. I am hoping he eats a few feral house cats that like to come through once in a while..... We have a pile or grey fox on the place, I am curious as to how they interact with each other.

Saw a red down in San Saba a couple of years ago. Landowner's wife didn't want us shooting fox or bobcats though. Beautiful animals to see in the wild.

The only I've ever seen was on our place between Menard and Eldorado.

He is beautiful, and as foxes go, a rather large one. I, however, would be concerned about the toll he was taking on my turkey poults and quail.

Never seen a Red here yet, but that is just way kewl. Saw them frequently in Colorado.
Great read here, not native to Texas.

"The entire red fox population of Central Texas probably descended from forty foxes released between 1890 and 1895 near Waco. Offspring from these, plus an additional sixty imports, soon spread into the surrounding counties. Releases in other parts of the state further increased the red fox's range. Now it can be found in the eastern, north-central, and Trans-Pecos areas of the state. Highest populations occur in north-central Texas.""

Full interesting stroy from TPWD

Pretty cool having them around. He seems to know where the camera is.
