If he wanted it gone quicker cut the hide down the back, stomach, hams and shoulders they will consume it lots faster. Had 2 70 to 80lb ones gone in one night. Have lots more yotes around than he does in that location.

There won't be a trace of a pig 2 days later at my place.

That was cool. I will usually cut a hog down the belly and the back. It will be gone in a day or two at the most, with bones scattered 50 yards in every direction.

Interesting seeing those other hogs eat their own.
That would last about 3 days maybe where I hunt. The coyotes, badgers, bobcats, etc... eat them up pretty quick and there is nothing left, not even the bones.

I was surprised how long it took for this pig to disappear, like many of you have seen before it usually takes about three days to a week once they find the carcass. One of the first really big hogs I took down went missing at about day three and it kind of spooked me into thinking a big cat might be lurking around the river bottom. Since that time I've learned that a bunch of buzzards and coyotes can consume a whole cow in no time at all so a 200 pound hog is just a nice snack to these scavengers..

Buzzards carried the lion's share of the load. Surprised to not see more coyotes on it.
