and no deer were harmed in the making of this post. I couldn't decide which way to go, so I kept my options open. The only thing at the feeder this morning was about 50 dove. For anyone wondering, the levergun is a Model 94, 1903 vintage in 32 Winchester Special.

Same thing here. No deer, just a lot of birds this morning.

Thanks for posting the photo. I love the lever action. I've got a 1969 vintage Winchester model 94 30-30 that my dad bought for me for Christmas from BW Merchandise in San Angelo in 1969. I've still got it and after refinishing the wood about 10 years ago it's spotless. cheers

The first few deer I ever took were with a 1950's model 94. My uncle loaned it to me. I
really like hunting with the old guns. Go with the Win. 32 special.

Well, just finished the last sit of the season. No deer showed up. Maybe I can kill a yote or other vermin waiting on next season to roll around. I don't know what happened to the deer. I pulled my card from my trail cam today and only one little 6 point in the last week. Oh well, that's why they call it hunting, I guess.
