Our old company safe. My brother had it, since we sold the company, but decided he didn't have room for it, so he gave it to me. T'wasn't cheap to move it, but I had to hang on to it. 'Don't know when or where my grandfather bought it, but he started our company in 1934. Patent on the dial reads 1869. Movers estimated it at between 1500 and 1800#.

That is really neat! Back in the day I saw several of those peeled open. Got where businesses would leave them ajar as they mainly used them for fire protection..
