 Whitetail or mule deer?

We only got this one pic of this buck back in October. One guy on lease was saying it's a definitely a mule deer. And we have tons of mule deer on our ranch. But as soon as I see this pic to me it's a whitetail along with land owner. So down for a little fun. Take your guess on what you think it is. Remember it is big mule deer country. Will reveal its identity in a couple days good luck

Size of that ear makes me think mule deer. If he is a whitetail, the width of his rack sure makes him a shooter.

Like everyone else its a poor quality pic BUT if you have both on that property
then there is a good chance it could be a hybrid.

and i know pic is not very good quality but only one we had of this buck, but keep the guessing up! going to rather interesting results! and hint given its not any at all a hybrid

Well since the only options are WT or Mulie, I'm gonna' toss a coin and say Mulie due to the length of that one ear. Whatever he is, it looks like he has a hernia. What I really think he is isn't an option, so I guess it can't be.

Alright time to reveal him, looks like only couple guessed right! My guess was totally whitetail for seeing a lot of night pics of whitetail in the area. And it was definitely a whitetail cause I shot him two miles away!
