Messing around this afternoon at the Lake Bistineau spill way and caught five nice hybrids. This was the largest of two.

I had not planed on doing serious fishing but I got into them and had to bring them home to the kids and wife.

I started out with a four pound leader in hopes of a few chinquapin. I caught one small hybrid in the process and then proceeded to break off three times in a row on these slabs.

I didn't have a heavier leader with me so I scowherd the bank and came up with an tangled mass of what must have been 15 or 20# mono. Recycled it into a nice 6ft leader and went to work.

Took me about an hour to catch the five and I left them biting. Waded out with them on a nice limb prepared by a beaver. good times.

The wild life of today is not ours to do with as we please. The original stock was given to us in trust for the benefit both of the present and the future. We must render an accounting of this trust to those who come after us.
