So pic below is Spring 1999, my son watering my cactus.

I do not know what kinda cactus they are, I bought them down town Dallas some kind exotic plant gig going on. The plant was already couple years old I want to say. So there was the main stock going strait up, and 2 small stocks on each side. Well the plant got some kinda of disease on the top of the main stock. So I cut off the tip with the disease hoping that would get rid of it but it didn’t. So in a desperate move, I cut the other 2 side stocks off and planted them in their own pot hoping that would root, going strong today, pix below.

That is different and I can say I have never seen one. Almost looks like that cactus is crossed with some other plant. Wonder if it is from a tropical climate? Are the leaves on top of it there all the time or are they a bloom of some sort? Are the spines like a normal cactus.

It stays like that all the time. During the winter I bring them in, they go dormant, does not grow, no new leaves, but the leaves say green but by end of winter most died and fall off. As soon as a move them out side in spring time, they start growing sprouting new leaves out the top and bottom leaves die off and falls, kinda like a palm tree.

My wife thinks it is dracaena plant, she said she has never seen one grow that high. But her expertise in plant life usually ends after the summer is over.

That top pic is spring 1999, I think I actually bought the plant 2 years prior, so that plant is a bout 15 yrs old.
