As with all programs during the development stages the Water Foul 101 course has been taught a time or two.
However the first official course was held in Moore County over the weekend. A half a day in class and a day and a half in the field. Mr Randy Spradlen The Hunter Ed specialist for the West TX and Panhandle area developed the course and co taught it with AJ Meyer our local Game Warden. As a Hunter Ed instructor I attended the class as an instructor training.
Tree of our 4-H youth took the class as well. The two young men in the pictures below will be assistant Hunter Ed Instructors before School starts next year.
Our 4-H Outdoor adventures club was the recipient of several generous donations around Christmas time. With those funds we bought 6 new blinds along with some other equipment. You will see our youth setting them up and using them for the first time as well.
I am now qualified to teach this course and as soon as these two youth get there HE instructor they will be qualified to help.
Great weekend but boy am I tired.
