All I can say is to stay away from Moultrie stuff. I had two of their Modems and bought security boxes from CamLock Box for them because Moultrie didn’t make them when they first came out. I had to return one of the Modems because I couldn’t find a second Moultrie camera that would work for more than 30 days. Since then I have had to return the other Moultrie game camera twice to be switched out because it junked out on me. I even asked them if I could just have credit towards a feeder or something else and they said no. This last camera they upgraded me with, they sent a free security box for it since I was seriously pissed off over having to keep eating the security boxes and having to pay for shipping because they put out crappy cameras that don’t last.
The modem doesn’t get a strong signal and you end up having to wait 24 hours for the modem to force dump the pictures to the Moultrie Mobile website most of the time. Definitely avoid them like the plague and go with any other company that offers mobile camera services. So now I had to put the camera and modem 15ft high in a tree with a swivel mount so I could get a good enough signal. I hooked it up to the Moultrie solar panel and can erase images remotely so that is the only plus about the set up. Sportsman’s Guide has warning signs that say Wireless cameras in use and say that pictures and video get automatically sent via text and email so thieves will know that even if they try to steal your cameras, you will still have the evidence to get them prosecuted for theft. Plus you will know if there are trespassers poaching etc and be able to get the cops there to arrest them on the spot. I like the wireless option so I don’t have to go near my cameras and can plan my hunts from home. Hope this helps you out.

I have a Covert and a Spartan. Both are currently working well. I give the edge to Spartan. They are less aggravation than the Covert. My experience is there cs is better also.

My current game camera is a Stealthcam G42. I've probably had five or six Stealthcam cameras and I don't really like them, but I dislike all the other ones I've tried even more. I tend to spend around $100 for them, so that limits what I'm getting too. They used to be great. But it seems that every other year, it dies and I need to get a new one, and for the same money, the do less. Pros. It's reliable, it takes great day time pictures, it's easy to use and the batteries last months. Cons. It's range is very limited for night pics. I think it's rated for something like 75 feet, but in the attached pictures, that feeder is 30 feet away. It's very picky on what SD card you use. I have a small stack of different brands, but the only card that will work in it is the Stealthcam brand card.
