OK, dumb question here.

If I were to put a small strip of reflective tape on the top of my feeder or on the legs would that spook off deer from coming into it? Would they see it and get spooked?

I was thinking about this so if hogs came in during low light and I wanted to shoot at some under the feeder, maybe it would prevent shooting the legs of the feeder

I thought it was required of all feeders to have at least one bullet hole in a leg. laugh
Reflective tape wont bother a thing. Maybe when you first put it on it might get a reaction from a few deer. Once it is part of there environment they will accept almost anything, including a big barrel on three legs in the middle of the woods.
The deer on the side of the road don't seem to be bothered by reflectors at all.

ok, thanks, I guess you are right about that.
I remember going through the drive through at Starbucks in Ruidoso NM and there were deer eating grass about 5 feet from my truck and never cared about me a bit.

I had a stand way back in the woods that was a bear to find in the dark. I tied some flagging tape to some mesquite limbs every 50 yards or so to mark my path. Stupid deer ate the flagging tape.
