I am surprised this animal is able to stand with its guts hanging out.

Had a neighbor tell us he just lost a calf to a pack of wild dogs. He asked us to shoot them on the spot next time we see them.

Most alpha predators don't waste the effort to kill before eating. Some of the more fragile ones to for self preservation.

That is tough to watch, but it is what wild dogs do. This happens all of the time, but there is usually not witnesses. Every ranch that I have hunted, without fail, has asked me to shoot wild dogs. I gave a dog a pass once and the land owner was POed

I shot a pig that was walking away from me once and my shot went low and sorta unzipped it's belly.
Thing ran a long, long ways with it's entire intestinal tract danging out.
My buddy shot a deer once and somehow the intestines actually fell out. All of them. And the deer didn't die right away or any time soon enough for us to find it. They found it 3 days later a long, long way away. I actually have a picture of the gutpile just siting cleanly on the ground. Really weird thing.

Those are African wild dogs. Totally different from domestic dogs gone "wild."
You won't be seeing any of those on your deer lease I can promise you....

Those are African wild dogs. Totally different from domestic dogs gone "wild." Right, same family, but not even the same genus of "dog."

I shot a javelina and blew its guts and organs (including the heart) 3-5 feet out of its body, but all still attached. I'll never forget walking up to that thing and it kicking, trying to bite me and all the while I was watching it's heart beat on the ground 3-5 feet away.
