I just read the thread below about the black widow bite, I hate bugs. When we went down a couple weeks ago, we set off bug bombs in all our blinds. I will do the same Friday afternoon before opening day. Did I say I hate bugs???

Get some of those no pest strips from a feed store or maybe even TSC. They seemed to have worked for me pretty well

I heard from some friends who hunt in south texas and they use cow ear tags that have insecticide on them. They put one in a deer stand every year and it keeps alll tecritters out. I have dam dirt dobbers that build the dirt house where they keep a egg and several spiders in each chamber. Dam that pisses me off. They build them on my chairs, on the floor everywhere. Last weekend i cleaned them out and hung two of the ear tags or a experiment.

Sawyer Permethrin good for up to 40 days on your clothes. It works! You can spray this in your blind and it will keep the critters away for weeks.

No sent also.

I keep hearing about how great Sawyer is. I'll have to go buy some. Does he really have no scent? I might even use it for around the backyard. We've got bad mosquitoes here.

I go to Walmart and buy a big jug of pest spray that you buy for the house. I spray down the blind inside and out.

Works fine for me.

Pest strips all the way starting in Sept. Won't have any flying bugs in there quickly. Last 3 months to get you to the first freeze. It was a record year for dirt dobbers. Must have taken out 50 nests in one blind.

I hunt in Llano every year for a week at my buddies lease and some of the stands out there had big black widow problems. Here in east texas all I really had problems with was wasp, but spray and done. Black widows freak me out and I cringe at the thought of one them crawling up my boots again.
