Let me start off by saying I can't prove anything, nor have I witnessed any wrong doing. Our lease is a good clip off a major hwy and mostly surrounded by large hunting leases. I've stayed around 20-25 nights at our camp this season and have notice a man creeping by no faster than 5 mph frequently tapping the brakes and coming to complete stops down our county road. I can't recal a night I haven't seen him drive by and this all occurs between 6-630 pm. I'll stand outside listening for about the next 15-20 min with the operation game theif number ready to go, but haven't heard anything nor called. For all I know, this guy is walking his dog out the other window, but it sure is suspicious and a little creepy. No way in heck am I about to wait out in the dark and try to confront him. Anyone that drives by can see our camp and we have it lit up brighter than Christmas, but doesn't keep this guy from shining his high beams and frequently stopping.
Would you try to confront? Call and talk with a game warden or SO? Or just let it go and stop all the speculation?
Thoughts?

This past Saturday night, just as he passed our driveway, he stopped and stayed put for about 3-4 min.. I just knew I'd hear a shot, but he eventually moved on.

I wouldn't report anything until you have a perfect vehicle description and a license plate. Other wise he isn't doing anything wrong. Might just be a country person fascinated by your lights

Hang a skull from the tree with a bright red spot light focused on it. When he comes by and stops just flip the light on and shoot off a couple of rounds.

Sounds like some of the people that live in the area near our place in Runnels county, every so often we will see then driving the roads in the area. Never heard a shot from any of them, it is like they are doing a neighborhood watch, checking the area to see if anything is happening. I know most of them, rarely is it a car or pickup that I don't recognize.

Just let it go and stop the speculation if he's not doing anything illegal. Could be one of the area land owners checking on things.

Call the warden. He can talk to the person and they will at least know he is present.

He's probably waiting for a night when your camp is dark and no one is around so that he can some steal your toilet.

I would contact your local GW and advise him of the information. I don't think he would hesitate to check that type of activity out. The game warden in my area would definitely want to know about it.

I have called operation game thief for a crime in progress. I waited about 45 minutes on hold before I hung up. The local game warden is the way to go.

Is it illegal to look at fields and wildlife? Maybe he is coming home from work and finishing a beer?

This ^ I've had the exact same problem and game warden was glad to get involved. He will also be able to check if the vehicle owner has priors. Just make sure and provide a good description and the license plate.

they say "hunting man" is the most exciting
how about getting a ghillie suit and going out by the road and laying up on the bushes with some binoculars and watching what he does when he slows down......report back unless he starts unzipping something or the like
also you can make a really bad "fake deer" out of some old carpet and some sheds and stick it out in the field just close where someone would think "I got that shot", but far enough where they will only see the horns and the brown or maybe put the "body" behind a bush and only let the horns show.....see if he goes for it.....or maybe a turkey decoy or even one of those "real looking" deer targets
you need to be proactive and crank this up a notch it sounds like you are bored and have the time
