Is there any good hunting in the Monahans area?? I am moving to the area and don't really know what to expect as far as wildlife is concerned(besides the rattlesnakes). Any pointers would be helpful.

My dad lives there. He shoots a lot and teaches CHL courses. If you want to look him up, PM me and I will get y'all in touch. As far as hunting goes.... Coyotes coyotes and coyotes. No whitetail.... A few mule deer. Bird hunting is incredible! Tons of dove. A few quail.

Or just go to NM its not far from Mona's Hands or kermitt.

Like JdM said cyotes by the ton. RABBITS and more rabbits

Javalinas some pronghorn..

But cyotes and rabbits

Check the New Mexico fish and game website, make sure you apply for permits when the time comes.

There are deer in the Monahans area. I hit one at the 88 mile marker about 6 months ago. It was a big doe. I think it was a mule deer. Didn't get that long of a look at it. Tore up the front end of my Freightliner.

Get on a lease about 100 miles south, Shefield area.
All the deer you want, a few MD and all the other critters.
Lots and lots of hunting 100 miles out.

I've seen whitetails around Crane, Tx. Big mule deer around too.
