im 63 years old always since i could walk ive been hunting in one way or another..i was carried in to the woods before i could walk following those old flop eared hounds coon hunting..i hunted for years on private lands and swore to never pay to hunt on a deer lease..that was then now ive met some great friends that hunt..and i yearly pay for a lease..i have raised 3 childeren,,one son and two girls..have a big part in my seveen grandchildren..on my fourth wife(partly my fault in my younger days..not grown up yet) and partly because of my hunting passion..i was always a responsible husband,father and made a decent living in my trade..now im on wife #4..its an old saying ive heard all my life.."save the best one for last"..well im here to tell you thats the case with my lovely wife..we are very comfortable in our marriage..she crafts and i do grandkids and hunting..my only problem..if you want to call it that is im always thinking of hunting styff in the back of my mind{what i have left}..im enjoying my life..being a husband..a grand pa and hunting..of course i always put our Good LORD ahead of even hunting..but during hunting season i skip church and hunt all season long..im biulding a deer blind as i type this..breaking for breakfast..is anybody else thats of my age that thinks like this..fortunately i hunt with a couple of like minded young whippersnapers..at least to me that keep me informed of all things hunting..i have a motto..never too old to learn..and i have two guys that help this old timer out alot..well bacons done have to go eat breakfast so..i can ..go do hunting related stuff..wife is asleep grandkids out of town..so im enjoing the life right now..doesnt get any better..God bless all and as my uncle used to say "save some for seed"..loo

similar but still on wife #1 for a little over 40 years. She gets it most of the time but it wears on her before the season is over. I am mindful (most of the time) to not let all the little hunting related topics spill over into my normal conversation while around her

same here, all hunting and fishing. with coyotes and pigs in the mix, there is no offseason. the lady gets her time, but normally after the morning hunting/fishing trip.

I think about fishing, too.
