Anybody get experience hunting around the Carmine area? How are the deer numbers? How's the buck quality trending?

Thanks fellas.

my daughter/SIL own a small ranch (~50+/- acres) just outside of Carmine (north of 290 a few miles) and he has been seeing pretty good number of deer the past year since setting up feeders and cameras. I put in a couple pretty good sized food plots that have gotten a lot of traffic. Some decent younger bucks that show some potential with one pretty good 4+ year old that he has on camera but not seen from the stand. See hogs from time to time but the adjoining LOs like to trap, so my SIL hasn't been shooting those. I think they are in Washington county which is doe only by MLD permit along with antler restrictions on the bucks. The adjoining LO lives within 1/4 mile and keeps an eye on the place for them. He and his wife have a few decent racks for the area (from their perspective) nailed up on their shed that came from their property that I would guess would be in the 100-120 range.

Much obliged PMK, exactly what I was after.

Anybody else have any experience out towards Carmine, Burton, Ledbetter?

I have property outside of Ledbetter, Lee county was one of the first to implement the 13 inch rule. It has made a world of difference in the horn quality as well as the buck population. A typical hunt would be 8 to 10 deer for me with 3-4 being bucks.Always plenty of hogs around, whether or not they show up in the daylight is another story.
