What do you wear when hunting? Both are a pain to keep up with, I default to glasses as they're harder to lose than a contact, but you don't have to worry about contacts fogging up or getting a smudge. Haven't tried contacts on a hunt yet.

I've worn glasses for 41 years. If I could some how tolerate something on my eyeball, I'd probably poke my eye with something moving through the brush.
I carry a pair of Rx sunglasses to switch to on sunny days. It's a hassle, but I think they help me spot game.

Contacts every day. I can switch from welding hood to clear safety glasses, to sun glasses at will. Prescription glasses were a pain. I went to contacts 15 years ago and have not regretted it one bit.

Wore glasses from 2nd grade until having Lasik done about 18 years ago. I couldn't wear any of the contact models I tried throughout my time needing them. After Lasik, my eyesight went to 20/25 in my left (non-shooting) eye and 20/15 in my right (shooting) eye. I need 'cheaters' to read now, but that's not a big deal. Plenty of cheapo reading glasses for $10 or less. When shooting at the range or clays, I have shooting glasses with interchangeable lenses.

Everyone has their way. I have worn glasses since 1962, yes a pain, they scratch (even with scratch resistant, they fog in cold weather with heated body) need bi-focals, thought about the lasik opted no. It is difficult with not be able to see far away, can't use open sights. It all works out for me. No comment on contacts never tried them.

Have had glasses, contacts, and lasik. Glasses were a pain and spooked ducks at times by the glare. Contacts were a pain to put in, but helped. Lasik has been a godsend.

I don't have a problem with keeping up with contacts... I put them in my eyes and keep them there. Rarely do I lose one. Glasses are nice at times but those times are never when I am shooting a rifle with a scope. When shooting with scopes my line of sight is either at the top edge of my frames or above it so it's always contacts with a scope.

Had worn glasses since I was 18, had Lasick done in 2007. Best thing I had ever done. I have one eye done for distance and one eye done for for reading. Don't have to wear glasses at all now.

I have one eye done for distance and one eye done for for reading. So how does that work? Do you make up for the differences in how you focus? I started off with one contact in my left eye only, then after several years progressed to glasses or pair of contacts. Charlie

Let me start off by saying I'm probably legally blind, I wear glasses to work everyday. Hunting and fishing, contacts all of the time, with my eyes being so bad I totally give up all of my peripheral vision wearing glasses, contacts, not so much.

worn glasses for distance but only a slight correction for close to 20 years. Dr. kept telling me my vision wasn't that bad but he is a hunter also and totally understood when I said I can't tell if its a 8 point or a 10 point. I was only 20/22 in one eye and 20/24 in the other, but with corrective lenses I was 20/16 in both. I only wore glasses while driving (to be able to clear the fuzz off street signs) and hunting. This past fall upon my annual exam, he said with age, my eyes were back to 20/20 uncorrected but my arms were too short (needed readers for close up) ... but while hunting this past fall, I noticed that 20/20 without glasses wasn't as good as the 20/16 with glasses I have been accustomed to for years. I will push for corrective lenses again upon my next annual exam.
I never really had any problems wearing glasses while hunting, shooting, etc. but again, only a slight correction. I did get titanium frames that were extremely light and the no line outline (has like a fishing line around the outside edge to hold lenses in frame), so very little blocked vision from the frames.

I wear glasses every day. I wish I could wear contacts. I've tried on three separate occasions, a couple years apart each time. I just can't do it. My eyes get so irritated by the end of the day, I can hardly see. It's almost like allergies the way my eyes react to contact lenses. Feels like sand in my eyes all the time. Just can't stand it.
So, as bad as I hate it...I wear glasses to be able to see. Sure as heck can't see well without them!

I started off with one contact in my left eye only, then after several years progressed to glasses or pair of contacts. Charlie It took me about a month to get used to it. Main problem I had at first was depth perception, like going down steps. It is called mono-vision. After a while the brain adjusts and you are fine. The brain is very flexible and relearns/compensates quick. I never even notice now when I go from up close to longer distances as to which eye is doing what. I could have had it done for best distant vision in both eyes but then I would have to wear reading glasses. This is the best of both worlds and I don't have to wear any glasses. I have zero issues right now with my vision since 2006.

I experienced the same as you with a number of different brands and types until I found the one. It's like they're not even there.

had my contacts freeze into a solid block of ice overnight in the case in Colorado- inside the tent. It was a little chilly that night.

Wing shooting and archery I prefer contacts and rifles, scoped or irons need my glasses. I cant focus well looking through a rifle scope or binoculars with contacts on, sometimes it will make my contact pop off... I'm not really sure why and I notice I get larger groups when shooting the rifle with contacts.

Here is the dilemma in my mind. I wear unlined bifocals, 2.5x. I have been at this power for only a year. I only quail hunt. I probably missed more shots this past season than any time in my past. I am thinking that with these glasses, the shot is appearing to me closer than it really is and I am putting the wrong lead and angle on the bird at shot. What would correct this from a vision standpoint? Sorry shooting is sorry shooting, I understand that. But seriously, I need opinions on this. Would lasik surgery put me back to a past norm? It is on my mind. I have always shot in the 80% range in the past and now I am admittedly in the 40-50% category.

I have glasses and contacts. Astigmatism and now the need for bifocals has me in glasses 99% of the time. Taking a serious look at corrective surge thx tired of sweat dropping on my lenses. Contacts were giving me problems with allergies.

Been wearing contacts for 40 years. Keep spares in my pack with solution. I also carry my specs just in case. Also have my readers with me if I want to read in the blind. Glasses and scopes just don't work for me.

I have been wearing contacts with the monovision deal for about 10 years. Left eye is for close up, right is for distance. Didn't take too long to get used to it, but I know some that couldn't stand the feeling. I am left eye dominant and shoot right handed. I told the doc and he arranged my contacts to make my right eye take over for distance. Sure has helped my shot gun shooting.
I also struggled with contacts until I went to the daily wears. More expensive but I like it better than glasses with bifocals or trifocals.

LASIK. Admittedly the worst 4 hours if my life (including 3 knee surgeries). But so far worth every penny.
