Anybody know of a good source for a small shipping container that's converted into a mini camp house in the DFW/Southern Oklahoma region?
Thinking about bringing in a 53' high cube for storage and possibly a smaller container that's been converted to a mini camp..... until way later down the line when I can afford to build.

'Hope you find a good source. The couple of times I've looked into the converted ones they were way too proud of them.

They have so many in Graham it's starting to look like Breckenridge. He needs to keep them at the river place.

The man-camp trailers and portable offices are lined up a Ritchie Brothers auction in Fort Worth. They sold a bunch at the last auction and more are already lined up against the back fence for the next auction.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

I've seen the man camps at Ritchie Bros..... Only problem I have with them is they are basically a single wide trailer house on skids.
While they are nice and much better than the average container camp, I am worried about the ability to sell/dispose of it at a later date vs. the ease of pulling up a roll off truck and sliding the smaller container camp onto it and hauling it off.
That and I am yet to have power and water brought out to the site where it will be dropped.

I have a 20' container in Laredo.
I got mine out of Corpus. There is a place out of Graham that sales them.
It's best to finish it out yourself. I would have them add the door, window and AC cut out if you don't weld. Then stud, insulate, wall everything else your self.
I have a 13k btu AC/heat window unit. No issues with condensation.
We run basically 2 20' and 2 40' containers off a deisel generator
I think 53'HW you have to have crane to get them off a trailer
PM your number and I'll call you and go over every thing including budgets

There's a guy out on 20, just west of Weatherford that looks like he just opened for business. Looks like he has all kinds of containers for sale, even camo ones. It's also a gun shop. Maybe someone in that area has some details or maybe a number.

We have the 20 foot converted to a cabin. Sleeps 4 to 6 comfortably with shower and toilet. Best thing to ever happen to the hunting lease IMO. We cut a side out and put a sliding glass door in. The end that opens contains the hot water heater. One door doesn't open since toilet and sink back up to it. You can spend as much as you want customizing it.

Wonder if a 10 footer would be okay for 3 people. Just as a sleeping qtr. Would just need a small portable ac and a door.

Not sure if this is true, but I was told that these boxes are treated with chemical spray soaked into the floor/wood for pesticides. Part of the quarentine process coming from foreign countries. Is it safe to sleep in one and live in it? I have one but just for storage.

I'd cover it up, w/ laminate, or simply seal it.Etc. Mine is bare and I'm still alive

You can stay there for years, won't kill you now; but don't be surprised when you get cancer, respiratory or other illness later in life some guys smoke cigarettes for years with no problems, some will develop cancer, emphysema etc ...
