Welcome to the forum. It took me years. Just click onto the sixth box. Choose youtube. A little box will pop up. Paste the link onto the box. Click onto ok. The link will show until you submit. Then the magic happens. Stick by me. I'm the most computer illiterate on here.

Don't feel bad. This one guy on here called Cast does IT for a living. He stopped by last night. He couldn't get his pictures to work. I told him to just quote one of the pictures I had posted, copy one on the links, and past it onto his reply. Guess what? He couldn't find the quote box. Guess what again? He was not logged on.

There has been a few bears in west Texas for quite a while. One was photographed just west of San Antonio a few years back. I also think I saw where east Texas is getting a few sightings. Neat to watch them on video.

There are bear in NM, bear in AR and bear in LA. Only makes sense that they will also be in TX. After all the habitat is the same along the borders of each state so it supports bear there it will support bear here.

These are moving across the river from Mexico. The drought the last 15-20 yrs there has moved them north.

In 1999, I ran over a sow and a cub between Juntion and Leakey. I was in a big truck and it was about midnight. I was shocked. Never knew there were bears in that country. Since, I have heard that there are quite a few coming in from Mexico.

I saw a bear in the caddo grasslands about 3 years ago. Turkey hunting at the time. Thought it was a hog at first but then it got up and started walking away from me. Small one, maybe 125 lbs.

Bear along the sulphur river bottom. Also I've seen game cam pics of them in Red River county.
Looks like they're coming in from all directions.

TPWD did a small stocking of Bear in East Texas as an experiment in the '80s. My family has a 250 acre place near Hawkins and a guy that does some work for us said he has been seeing a small black bear on the property.
With all the rain lately my guess is that it came up out of the river/creek bottoms. While it might make a cool trophy, if I saw it I'd probably give it a pass.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

I've seen warning signs at White Oak WMA basically saying make sure it's a pig and not a bear before ya pull the trigger.
