I'll be going. I want to check out Jerry Fisk's knives and of course drool over all the hunts being offered.

I'll be there on Friday, maybe Thursday afternoon. Duck hunting Thursday morning with a fellow THFr. I usually go for a little while each year. None of the banquet stuff though, just walk the floor and talk to a few exhibitors I know.

I go at least one day every year - sometimes two. I really look forward to it.

Up until about two weeks ago, I was going, but now it looks doubtful. My wife has been showing our Akita puppy and he will be competing that weekend. Since we are planning on building our trophy room this year and not going anywhere, there really isn't a reason to go there.

I'm volunteering to help for a couple of events. BTW, there are many, many auctions that are won for very moderate money. Yes, there are high dollar auctions where the high rollers strut their stuff, but there are also lots of goodies and good deals to be had by those of us who are mere mortals. If you've never gone to any of the banquets, do yourself a favor and get tickets for at least one. It's well, well worth it.
Also, there's a mistaken perception that everyone at the DSC has lots of $$$. This isn't the case. Most members are just normal people interested in conservation and hunting. Yes, there are a few who are clearly a lot better at making money than you and I, but the vast majority are middle class folks concerned about the future of hunting. It's a nice and friendly crowd.

I've never been. Always wanted to go. May try this year. You will not regret it I promise. It is an amazing show with lots of stuff to see - whether you spend $0 or $10,000. The taxidermy displays alone are worth the admission price. Here's an example that really appealed to a sheep nut like me.
