I posted a few weeks ago about taking my wife on her first hog hunt
Well, we went on a "day hunt" to make sure she would like it, as well as check the place out
The property is about 600 acres, with 150 acres detached, total of 750 acres, it was very nice and well kept
We spent a large part of the day being shown around the place
Oh, they also had a golf cart for us to use since she is semi disabled, BIG plus for them

Around 5:45 that evening, we went to a blind we picked for our night hunt
We had not been in the blind 20 minutes when two does and a fawn came in, not 10 yards behind the feeder we were hunting
That was great, but just about full dark, we had four cows invade the feeder we were hunting
Someone did not have a pen setup around the feeder, oh well
They ate every kernel that had been laid out, I hate cows, unless they are on my grill smile
Needless to say, we had nothing come around after that
BUT, she had a GREAT time and loved the hunt, even after sitting in the blind until 11:00 and nothing to shoot at

We signed on the lease and picked a site to setup our feeder, blind etc
I am very happy she had fun because now I have a permanent hunting partner
We are both looking forward to going back and getting our site setup and ready
This old fart is a happy man smile
Yes, the face you see in the window is my wife being nuts, but she has to be nuts to be married to me for almost 29 years lol

Tell us you didn't make her ride out to the lease in the trailer blind? clap

Just joshing, happy she is with you.

She'll be wanting to go all the time after she gets her first hog.

tth_40, it really is awesome having her hunt with me, and the people there treated her wonderfully

blackcoal, that was just a blind they had at the place, we went for a day hunt, mainly to check the place out, but that IS an idea lol

She loved it, she knows she is my "primary" hunting partner, I will take others, but she goes when she wants, others can stay home when she wants to go

We are going back March 13-15 for a work/hunting weekend at the lease, can you guess who is going with me? smile

Forgot to mention, my wife is semi disabled and they bent over backwards to accommodate things for her, let us use a golf cart, no charge, we were the only two in the cabin, and there were several people there, no charge.
The place is great, and the people are the nicest I have run into in a while
Very happy we signed on the lease
