I've been looking at getting ridding of my under armour set and changing to ecws gen 3 in multicam. Does anyone have any experience with level 5,6 or 7 gen 3 ecws? I would think if it's good enough to keep the military warm it should be more than sufficient for hunting deer and varmint

ecwcs is a polartec fabric. They hold a lot of patents and are very good quality.

Do you think level 5 would be sufficient for our Texas winters? With some layering of course using the ecws as the outer shell?

It should be more than enough for what we call winters.

I wear a silk top for moisture wicking, waffle top it kinda like a long john, then the fleece and I'm plenty warm in the teens.
