I've boiled quite a few deer and hog heads, but this is new to me.... A budy was fortunate enough to harvest a nice aoudad yesterday. He wants to do a euro with it... Can the head be boiled out fresh? ...or should the head be dried out and dark outer part of the horns removed first? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...

Can do it one of several ways. Sweat the head then simmer(place in one or two plastic bags and rot the horns off then simmer), macerate then simmer( put in bucket or pot of water til horns pop off then simmer) or drill couple holes on back side of horns and boil hot for 30 mins or so beat with a mallet horns pop off then finish ur simmering of skull. Last smells the "best". But none fun. Good luck
