Don't get any better than Pappa bros.

I think North Dakota needs a good steakhouse, if their best is Longhorn....

The list never came up for me. I dont eat steak out. Steak is a convenience food forme at home. I liked Ruth's the last time I went there.

Yep. I go out for things I can't cook. Steak isn't one of them.

I like Myron’s in New Braunfels. I can’t buy that quality of aged ribeye in the grocery store.

I’m going to try Lawrys in Chicago next week when I’m up there. Heard it was great. I’ve never had a steak better anywhere than I can cook at home with my beef.

I went a few weeks ago. It was great. Someone recommended a Blantons Old Fashioned drink. It was awesome.

You don’t have a-butcher shop or H.E.B. close by ?? The ones here in Midland carry aged beef , they keep it in a special counter right behind the regular counter so it’s easily seen . Price is higher than regular meat counter tho . But if you can afford it , it’s good meat !!

Well the Big Texan Steak house in Amarillo isn’t on the list . What i did notice about that list you posted was that more than half were all doctored up with special sauces and add ons’ . If you have a good piece of meat you don’t need anything but a little salt & pepper and some butter . Yep just a good pice of meat and cook it right and your all set !

That's a chain prime rib place. Same as the one in Dallas. Go to Gibson's Steakhouse.

Makes me think the 'best' steak houses had to pay a little to be included in this list.

What makes you think that?

It seemed like a majority of those places on the list were part of larger corporations and no mom and pop places. Longhorn steakhouse is equivalent to a Red Lobster.

Look at the list below. I would eat at each one of those before I picked a national chain that serves generic steaks.

Big fan of Cagle's in Lubbock. Hands down the best steak I've ever had was at the Cattle Exchange in Canadian, TX. Beef so fresh it had prices posted on a chalk board.

Cagle smokes the steaks as a loin before grilling, makes a world of difference. Loved it even better when you ordered by thickness, and prices were on the chalkboard
