Slice them and boil them with butter or stock and a pinch of sugar. Buy a can of greens and mix them in there. Cornbread is a must.

if they are small/young enough, you can eat them raw like an apple ... but if you eat to many raw, it will give you a belly ache!!!

peeled, cut into chunks or slices, enough water to cover, a little butter, salt, bacon or ham and boil until tender. a pinch or two of sugar will take bitterness out if the are large/older.

I can put a hurting on turnips and turnip greens ... talk about soul food

Used to like turnip greens till I tried beet greens. Now all I grow are beets mainly for the greens. Sprinkle a little Tony's, steam them till just tender. Good eats and good for you!!
