I was wondering around the pasta isle looking for grated Parmesan cheese. I gave up and asked. I was directed to the refrigerated area and behold. I stumbled upon this.

I ended up using it tonight on my pasta with marinara premivera. It was great. Take a peek and give it a try.

Bill, hopefully HEB has a better shredded parm around their deli??? That Kraft is like shredded cardboard.

if you can afford Hiney (the beer), you can afford a premium parmesan. food

HEB has their shredded parm etc right next to the Kraft brand in the refrigerator section.

It never fails. I wasn't asking. I was telling you. I've had it all the shredded is much better than the old grated and will last up to a year or more in the fridge.

At least the shredded most likely doesn't have wood pulp in it.

Or mold, like most blocks will have in a month or so, if you have not thrown it out.

I looked at shredded parm in Sam's but went with a big block of parm instead. Vacuum packed small cubes and froze them.
Drop one in cool water and it's ready for the micro plane shredder. I put it on everything.

Have heard about the wood pulp etc. before have heard people say most of the cheaper cheese contains it. Question, how do they get around the label saying 100% real cheese?

I think they've been in trouble for that very thing.
