Why? There's plenty of other cuts of beef that you're already good at. I've never been hungry enough to eat fries, kidney, heart, liver, tongue, brains or intestines.

I have never personally cooked them, but seen it done. They were halved or quartered soaked in milk battered and fried. I thought they were pretty tasty.
Ive also had heart liver and tongue. They can all be good or bad, mostly depending on how its prepared.

Funny you say that, every time I have had calf fries they were served along side chicken gizzards. I prefer turkey gizzards to chicken and calf fries are better than both.

slice them while they are still a little bit frozen, then fry them just like you would fish. Either dip them in batter and fry them, or dip them in egg then saltine cracker crumbs and fry them. Make a little cocktail sauce and you are ready to go.

only way I have seen them prepared was a milk/egg bath, tossed in seasoned flour, into the grease.

Is Cattlemen's at the stock yards still open? That's where I had them years ago. I've had turkey fries at a gathering.

I had them at the Cattlemen's in the stock yards myself back in February.....not bad....but not meant for everyday either. A cold Shiner Bock seems to help!

Skin 'em , cut in strips, cover in fish meal, and deep fry. Keep it simple - No need to get creative with them. And as mentioned abaove, it's a little easier if they are still a bit frozen.
