Took an eye of round and sliced it up. Smoked on the PBC at 175 for about three hours. Turned out perfect.

I cheat and use store bought cure;https://www.himtnjerky.com/Original-Blend-Jerky-Kit.html, but I doctor it up with extra cracked black pepper. I season the meat as directed then before the cook I add the pepper. Bought a full eye of round at 7 lbs trimmed. Had it sliced at a 20...may try 15 next time. Pics show the way I smoked the meat. Set my PBC up to run around 175 and smoked for approx. 3 hours.

did you get that sliced where you bought it? with or cross the grain? brilliant idea ... where'd you get the store bought seasoning?

Yes, my butcher slices it with the grain. This was sliced at a 20. You get pieces that are about 10" x 4" out of the eye of round. I season them as directed then before smoking, I sliced them to size and peppered them. 175-200 for around three hours. Check out the website for ordering or you can get it at Academy...I think?
