I have a pretty big area on my back patio set up for processing and smoking meats but have yet to get a chance to clean up and get set up for the year. If anyone in the Rowlett area is interested in a place to process or smoke meat, my place is available if you are willing to help me clean up a little. If you have never processed your own, I can show you the ropes and would be good opportunity for someone to save some money this season.

Maybe taking you up on this offer brother. I live in Rockwall and could use some pointers!

Just picked up a new grinder and am working on getting a side by side fridge to convert to a small cold storage.
Sausage stuffer and a knife sharpener as well as a meat scale have also been added to the gear list.
Also, a full set of butchers knives is always available for use.

Just finished up a poor man's cold storage. Gutted a side by side fridge and added 2 hooks to hang meat from. Just a little more cleanup and organizing and I will be ready to go.
May offer up some processing for a small donation as I do not hold any certifications or food handling permits.

Just acquired a commercial grade jerky gun with 8 aluminum tubes and a bunch of double tips. Nice!

Post of the week. You made my day. Thanks a bunch for tour generosity.

I may take you up on this soon. I have a grinder and mixer but always have to pay $60 to have my meat deboned and the white stuff removed. I'd be more than happy to help clean and donate some meat in exchange for lessons. Just have to kill something first hammer

Hey now we're talking. I'll do all the butcher work you need. Donations (meat) always accepted.
My hunting buddy is in Forney so I'm there a lot. Come on over!
I got a big one hanging right now that needs another week to age so no hurry for either of us to get anything just yet.
