I'm lookin to get a good electric meat grinder. One made of all steel that can process quite a bit ( for hog hunts).

What do y'all use?

1 HP Weston #22 for serious use, it grinds hundreds of lbs a year & ain't no slowin' it down. Have a .25 hp LEM for light use but chokes up like Tony Romo if you push it too hard. grin

I have a .35 HP LEM #8.
I grind about 6 deer a year, no problem, much better than the Tony Romo version.

Glad to hear the Weston is good, I've been looking at the #12 3/4hp version.

My brother bought that 1 3/4 HP unit from Cabela's (a #42 neck size). That thing is a beast. We did six deer (one was a 278 pound sika) last weekend and that thing wasn't even warmed up yet. 80 pounds to fight with. Way more than needed for a normal hunter.
But he does about 20 deer a year for himself and customers.

That's what we have as well. It works great. It may be more than needed but we bought once and cried once and it should work fine for the rest of my life and my kids can use it too.
