Does anyone have a recipe for blacken Deer? not sure if that whats it called.


When i went out for my first and only deer Hunt i shot a nice Doe well we gutted it and put it in the freezer and made some blacken deer meat which what my friend did was that he got he iron skillet red hot then he put the meat it and cooked it liek that it seem it was done in a few minutes it was really burnt looking but when you cut into it was very moist and dayum good.

You just destroyed the English language there. All I could interpret from that was that you want to know how to cook something blackened.

Just get a cast-iron griddle or skillet hot and coat your meat with Zatarains's, http://www.zatarains.com/ Oil the hot griddle and cook it semi rare and you will love it.

Hot skillet, butter or olive oil, Chef Don Prudhomme's Blackened Redfish Magic seasoning. I would thing that steaks no more than 3/4" thick would be ideal. Be careful not to overcook 'em. I would think that they'd get awful tough.
