Been a long time but Zetner's Daughter used to be good food and steaks but that could be different now.

we used to eat at Zentner's Daughter anytime we were in San Angelo ... but the last time (2-3 years ago) we went there between dove hunts, it was outrageously priced (even for a hamburger), steaks seemed tough but still a food flavor ... still some amazing onion rings though.

Check with Ranball36, he has his shop in San Angelo, he should know.

There is a place east of town in Eola that is called the Eola Brewery and Restaurant, that so supposed to be good. Lowake Steakhouse has relocated to Rowena about 30 minutes east of Angelo, it used to be west Texas icon, but I haven't eaten there in several years.

Lowake was hit and miss for a few years, but the last few trips to the new location have been pretty good. Think we have gone 4-5 times in the last couple of months and it was good.

Western Sky was my favorite of the ones mentioned that I ate at when working there. Texas Roadhouse had the best I had there though.
