Hi, Longtime reader, and I've received some great advice from reading this forum. Figured I'd finally start an account to ask a few specific training questions.
I have two black labs, a 4 month old male Buck (Vegas Showgirl X HRCH #1 Lead Shot) and a 14 month old female Zipper ($50 non-registered craigslist dog). I trained/am training both of them myself. I learned a lot about how not to train a dog with my 14 month old female, thankfully she still turned into a really good hunting dog and has been doing fantastic on doves so far this year. There is nothing better than training a gundog yourself and then watching them work in the field. Buck, my male is finishing up his obedience (whistle, voice, collar) and working on remote place and steadying right now and is doing fantastic. He is already doing some fairly long marks on water retrieves.
I have a few questions that I figured I could get some advice on regarding my 14 month old female. She is very obedient, has a very soft hold on birds and will retrieve anything she sees fall (marks), but I can't get her to run a straight line on a blind. She will take directionals to a certain extent... but isn't fantastic with them (she does not come from a hunting or field trial pedigree to my knowledge). Luckily, she has a good nose and will locate a blind/dead bird after enough searching. Are there any drills/exercises that I can run at home to help her to run a straight line on a blind?
Buck, my male is finishing up his obedience and working on remote place and steadying right now and is doing fantastic.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any advice.

Force to pile, t, double t. If those are good, dog should go straight.

Thanks Robby, I'll start working her on force to pile and see if that will straighten her line up :-)
