I registered here on the forum back in January and get a ton of great information but have not posted much and I want to change that. Meet Myrtle, my new to me 6yo Chessie I got about a month ago and my first duck dog. I was fortunate to meet an awesome guy named Paul that was hanging up his duck calls but wanted her to have a good home where she could still hunt. This fit me perfectly as me and my boys get more serious about duck/dove hunting but did not have the resources right now to break the bank. She is a bit out of shape right now but that's works out well cuz so am I! We have been jogging in the morning and doing bumper retrieves in the evening. She is not trained on double blinds and hand signals but she is rock steady and Paul said she never missed a bird in 4 seasons after he trained her up and I believe him, she has that Chessie work ethic (and I see some of the stubbornness too occasionally ;-)). I took her up to the dove lease last week, birds were not really flying but I had a blast with her sitting still and walking some tree lines. She already follows me everywhere and loves on my 8yo and 11yo boys. Looking forward to some good years of hunting with her.

Hope the pics post, followed instructions using flickr but who knows...

No, I'm not a good shot, but I shoot often.
