Are there any pay to play training grounds available in the North Texas area? I understand some clubs own grounds and other's have training days but most of my time is during the week. Weekends typically end up dedicated to my wife and kids.

1. Ackerman’s in Boliver, TX. The address to put in your GPS is 12414 FM 2450 Sanger, TX 76266 (33.387801,-97.254888). From I35 exit 478 to FM455. Go West on FM455 for 4 miles to 4 way stop sign in Boliver Community. Turn right on to FM 2455 for 2.3 miles. Ackerman’s is on the left. The cost is $10 per handler, no cost to watch. Bring your dog, water, chair and any snacks you may want. We always do a good job at this but just a reminder to clean up any trash that you may drop or blow out of your vehicle.

When my nephew lived in Lewisville, we would take his two Labs out to one of many local city park ponds to train, He said many of his duck hunting friends would do the same.

I was also in a hunt of a training ground for my furry friends, but no luck in finding one. I believe you have to be a member of a certain club to earn privilege in using there training grounds.

You can do De-cheat on any cattle pond. Multiple reentries are harder to find. Robby

If you can use a boat dock on a lake or pond. You can toss bumpers beyond it and often dogs, especially as they tire, will run down the dock if allowed. Also I toss across the walk way or ramp and the dog will want to run the shore and enter on the other side of the walk way to enter or cut to shore to return there and we work it that way as well.
