Earlier last week I was getting advice on how to get Amos, my GSP into the water. Well today it happened, and while it wasn't graceful I think it was a really good start. All it took was getting him nice and hot from a long walk and me getting in the water with him.

The second part, which I think I am even more proud of probably wont mean a whole lot or be impressive at all to most. When we walk in the greenbelt Amos gets to just drag his 30-foot check cord, just in case I need to make a correction. As we were walking he came near a cedar off the trail and immediately locked up on it. I, being oh so smart, was a little upset that I had to turn around and get him, but when he refused to come when called I figured he had something. So I walk over behind him, and low and behold the two doves you see in the picture come out from under the cedar. It is not elegant, stylish or perfect but to be 8 months, and only been around birds in a "controlled" environment I am over the moon. Little man didn't move until those birds flew off. I am a pretty happy papa currently.
