Myself (DFW) and another hunter (Plainview) are looking for a deer lease somewhere in the Fort Worth-Amarillo-San Angelo triangle. We are looking for a year round lease with deer as well as some other game (hog, turkey, predators, birds, etc.). We would like to keep it under $2000 per hunter for the year, and since we would be making weekend trips out of it we would need to be able to pitch a tent and camp on the land.
To be completely honest I've only started getting more involved in hunting over the course of the last couple years and have only hunted public lands. And the other hunter has always hunted family land, but we are both looking to branch out and get a lease. If our criteria is considered unreasonable or unrealistic any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

You might want to consider doubling your price. Most of the leases I have seen in that price range are for 50- 60 acre leases,,, if you call that a lease.

We pay $10k for 1,100 acres in the area. Buddy in Spur less for 700 acres, etc etc. All guys I know in the area are for around $15 an acre or less. Most less. That Stephens County lease sounds good but only one opening.
