Hi all, just joined, wish I'd stumbled on this site a long time ago. So, here's my question... Do varmint / predator ONLY leases even exist? I'm in Rockwall, and have been hitting the Ladonia unit of Caddo Grasslands for about 2 years, with no success. I hear coyotes all the time, I just can't seem to get them to move off the private land and onto the public patches where I can shoot them. So, at this point, I'm wondering if I just need to try a different area, which means private property if I stay within 1 to 2 hours drive. I see plenty of leases for deer that include varmints, but I really have no interest in deer hunting, so that would be a pricey way to shoot varmints.

Any thoughts? Great site!

Look futher west and find a place where the deer lease is not year round lease

Talk to some of the dove hunting outfitters around you ask about after dove season when the fields are not hunted for dove.
