I'm looking for a place to hunt 2hours or so east of DFW. I have always hunted in North Louisiana and looking for something closer to where I live. I am a "let them go, so they can grow" type of hunter. I would like to have a lease who allows a guest. I'm looking for an annual lease for around 1200-1500.

Check all the timber company leases. Last year I saw one pop up against W.Patman that was a few hundred acres.

I talked to one guy. He said I was behind a bunch of people, but atleast that is a start. It looks like many of the timber companies $ aren't due until the middle is summer. Ill just keep looking.

As rifleman suggested, one site to go to is www.cglease.com. That is Campbell's website and they currently have some tracts up for bid- might be a little farther south than you are looking. I have three tracts leased from them right now. They also have a tab for clubs that have openings to fill. You might check that out also.

It's just me. I would like to have a place I can bring a guest every now and again. My nephew lives in the Monroe area in La and I've been driving over there and hunting on his lease with him for the past few years. Would like to teturn the favor. We just like hunting together because that is how we grew up. Thanks and I'll let you know if I find something.
