Have a friend who has some property around Hill County that he's thinking about leasing. What is the going rate per acre in that part of the state? I know there are variables such as lodging, water, etc. Just trying to give him a ballpark idea of avg prices per acre in that area.

Its hard to answer that question how many acres? 200 or 3200ac? Is there a house? Water or electric? Location? HF or low? Exotics? Also is it seasonal or year round access?

there are also other variables too ... what county, what type of cover, terrain, meat lease versus trophy, etc.

$6 to $20 per acre

I'm leasing 600 acres in a neighboring county (Bosque) and pay $12.50/acre. It does have accommodations and good deer density. Also has lots of turkey and no hogs until this year.
