Anyone know an estimation to run electricity and water line from the road back a couple hundred yards?

Doing that on my place now south of Eastland. Electric set on a pole at the road, $1,600. To run it 200 feet inside my property $1,000. Water company said $3 a foot for them to run it from the water meter located on the road..

It cost me $5200 to run electric from across the highway into my place. About 500' total with 3 poles. Cost was around $1500-1600 per pole 2 yrs ago with a 6 week waiting list. Have them put the water meter at the road and rent a trencher and do it yourself. Will save you a ton of money.

The pole line is the only real choice. They bring in a high voltage line and drop low voltage power to you via a local transformer. Running the low voltage from the road would be prohibitively expensive and you would have to put up with the voltage drop due to the long wires.

Oncor did mine. They did the first 300 for free and then it was an average cost of 10$ a foot after that, including the original free 300 go figure. I had them run the first 300 and did the next 100 underground with 4.0 4.0 4.0 . The wire was expensive, but way cheaper than having oncor do it.
