Think it's time I bite the bullet and find a lease of my own. Guest deal so not getting to hunt as much as I would like these days. Brother, me and close bud so 3 men and we all have sons that are younger teenagers and would drag them along from time to time.

East Texas is what I am thinking. Would be nice if the place had a pond or two. Does not need to be managed/ trophy lease! Don't been fancy cabin but good roads getting in and out would be really nice.

Something on the small side, say less than 400 acres would be great. Willing to pay anyone with solid leads that pans out a 250.00 finders fee if we lease a place you suggested.

Will be hitting the coffee shops and small cafe getting the world out in the counties we would like to hunt as well. Networking I am sure will pay off.

Thanks fellers!

I don't know what part of east Texas you would consider, but there is all kinds of timber company land mainly between Houston and Tyler over to Louisiana that is leased out. It won't be until the spring before some of it will be available to bid on.
