I've actively been looking for a deer lease for since January but something has always not panned out. I came across this sight and saw some potential so thought I would try it as well. I have wore out Craigslist and the paid sights have not worked out because you cannot get responses back. We would like it to be around Lampasas or Llano but open to other areas with in 4-5 hours of Houston with room for 2 hunters. We are looking for a family friendly lease because our kids (10-11 yoa) will be joining us on a lot of hunts. We are around 40 yoa and hunted since we were kids. I would love to find a type lease or group to join who share an interest in taking mature animals and not worried about filling a freezer up with young deer. We would also like to keep the price around $2000.00 a year. Long term leases are preferred and we do not mind helping out throughout the year if needed. Thanks

welcome good luck and keep a watchful eye on here ... someone might have something that would fit. You might also try making a day trip to the areas you are interested in, hitting feed stores, livestock auctions, chamber of commerce, local cafes, vet clinics, etc.

We actually did a about a month ago and took the loooong way back home and hit up every feed store we came across. The generic answer we got was if we did not know anyone one locally it would be difficult. One feed store took our information and told us to come back in May so we will try that too. Thanks for the tip.

another idea ... if you are on Facebook, there are several groups there that might be a bit more off grid. Just have to do some searching ...

I don't know if you are the one that called the other day or not, from Barrel House feed. I have 2 spots open right now. 5000 acres 45 min west of San Antonio. RV spot with water and electric. One has a big deck left by the last guy. Each gun gets 2 blind locations to set up. No split leases. $3000 per year

No it wasn't me. $3000 is too much for me right now but I wish it was not. The trending pattern is it cost too much or spots are filled before I find it. Thank you for the tip bet you someone will contact you from the forum.
