What are the customary agreements made by landowners for a Seasonal, say from Sept- Feb for a deer lease? Do most owners allow you to keep deer stands and feeders up until the next deer season? May sound like a dumb question, but I have only had yearly leases, but considering the idea of a seasonal lease since I only interested in deer season and hogs. No year round camping, varmint, dove, etc. Just wondering if the expense of a year long lease is worth it?

They allow you to keep feeders etc. there. Year around allows you access to property to hunt other things, camp, etc.

You can't fix stupid

68rb is probably right- most seasonal leases you're still paying the same $/acre as if it was year round.

I personally wouldn't hunt on anything that's NOT year round. I like the fact that I am able to go any time I want to go. And like they've already said, you probably aren't really going to save any money with a seasonal lease.

You can run but you can't hide...

I just got off a sept 1-February 28 lease. Landowner starts running hog hunts after our time was up. Also had an after deer season quail hunter also. Still was paying the same as annual lease

Some LO won't lease unless it seasonal. If it's a choice between seasonal lease & none, I'd take a good seasonal lease.
