I'm new to the forum here, and this is my first post.

I moved to San Antonio recently (originally from Alabama) and I've been trying to find a place to hunt pigs in the SA area (less than 1 hr from town). I looked all over the internet, and basically all I can find are either day- or weekend-hunts or large ranches focused on deer/exotics. I'm just trying to find a low key spot to lease (during off-season for deer) near SA where I can go to on weekends to hunt pigs and put some meat in my freezer. I'm not looking to hunt deer.

Does anyone have/know of a lease like this, or have any suggestions for finding a hog lease like this?

A coworker recommended I drive around the outskirts of town and look for real estate developer signs to call and ask if they do hunting leases. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks in advance for help. And most importantly, Roll Tide.

I've been looking for a few years now. I'd love to find something like that near San Antonio...bow or gun. I'm about to start putting up flyers in feed stores.

The land around san antonio is worth alot of $ and most land owners that own this land have $ so the little bit of money their property would generate for hog leasing really isnt worth the liabilities that come with it. For deer or exotics they can get much more $ so thats why you see more leases of that sort. Your best bet is gonna be doing a day hunt somewhere or finding an inexpensive deer lease that has hogs.
