I'm searching for a yearly hunting lease near Waco/McLennan county. The lease would need to consist of dove, duck, varmint hunting and fishing. Any leads are greatly appreciated.

I've got 300 acres 10 or so miles from Waco. Has a 10 acre lake or pond on it. Stocked with catfish and bass. Its never been hunted before but I see a lot of deer on it , few hogs, ducks on the lake in the winter, quail, rabbits, squirrels. I've had the place for 28 years and hunted it once or twice myself but not much. I've been thinking about maybe leasing it for hunting but I don't want people tearing up my place, making roads where I don't want roads, 4 wheelers running up and down the place, fighting with my neighbors. If I could find the right ones I might consider it. But I would have to be strict and things would have to be my way with no debating about it. I don't even know what leases cost these days.

ok, 20,000 for 4 hunters. You will need to furnish your own equipment and feed. There is electricity and water. No "friends fly free". Only the 4 paying hunters can hunt. No driving 4 wheelers up and down the fence line. No blinds on the fenceline. Only can drive 4 wheelers on the roads I have built. Must clean up your messes. No alcohol on the property. Guns and booze don't mix. No democrats.

My math is fuzzy, is that $66/acre? Each hunter gets 75 acres?

Highest I have heard of around here too. $5k a gun will get you a mighty fine buck in even a HF. Most of the leases around here (I live east of Waco) run $1,000-$1,500 a gun.

He must have posted that in error. I bet he meant to post $2,000 for 4 hunters which would be $6.66 per acre.

My guess is he got inundated with pm's ( mine being one of them ) and put up the crazy price to shut people up so they'd leave him alone. BTW mine was very polite and all I got was the ol'
"10pointdoe has removed themself from this topic" lol.

Not very good humor on the owners part. Being serious he could get a good group. Not like he is in it for the money considering how long he has owned the property.

Hey guys, don't put down Waco. Both of these bucks were last year, (2014 season),
on a small 54 acres low fence piece of property, exactly 13 miles west of the new Baylor stadium.
