Anyone ever heard of this group? Looks like they have 1000 acres for lease between Blanco and Stonewall, TX.

Ad says 14 guns total but only 6 on the 1000 acre tract. I mapped their location then looked at the acreage and it's about 15 different land owners needed to equal 1000 acres. Seems a little off. No water no electric. $3k a year. Hmmmmm.

I used to hunt near Evant. The realtor that collected money for landowner didnt know the acreage of the pastures. He would state one amount but I could never find that much acreage when I measured. Several others guys told me the same thing about their pasture.

Maybe they cant measure. Or I would assume since its small properties, they all went in to form a club so they could manage it better.

All the acreage is from adjacent families and landowners. None of the hunters in the "hunt club" own any of the property or live anywhere near the lease.

Another thing I found odd - lease ad stated they fed protein and corn all year last year, then when I talked to the lease manager, he said they didn't feed much at all because of all the acorns last season. Lease rules require each gun (6) to pay $40 per month for corn and protein.

I went and looked at the place and all the feeders were run down, tilted over, missing parts and the feeder pens were missing, trodden down or dilapidated. Not like someone had been managing it all season. They had 14 blinds set up on what appeared to be about 400 acres. Just an odd scenario.
